This weekend I had an interesting argument over the question – “Should startups aspire to change the world?”. I fall in the camp that says yes they should. The underlying rational is that it is the same idea as using the Pole star or Polaris as a reference in celestial navigation. Polaris helped navigators learn true north when sailing uncharted waters in the early history of the exploration of our world. It must have all seemed pretty fantastic, in an age before maps, knowledge of precise paths or other continents.
